All or Nothing

My sentiments exactly:

Are these words harsh, even judgmental?  Damn right.  But someone’s got to say it.  How can anyone with a shred of integrity claim to be Catholic who does not “believe and profess all that the holy Catholic Church teaches, believes, and proclaims to be revealed by God.”  There are some, such as Jon O’Brien of the inaptly named “Catholycs for Free Choice,” who protest that no one gets to say who is Catholic.  Using O’Brien’s logic, we might as well say no one has the right to define what is a giraffe and go on to use that term for large, gray mammals that sport trunks and tusks.

Thanks, Lar.
